PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
n-Butanol, also known as 1-butanol, has a chemical formula of C4H10O. It is a colorless, transparent liquid organic compound with a winey taste. The molecular weight is 74.12, the melting point is -88.9℃, the boiling point is 117.5℃, and the density is 0.81 g/cm³23. n-Butanol is slightly soluble in water, but soluble in most organic solvents such as ethanol and ether.
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES
n-Butanol is a colorless, transparent liquid at room temperature and pressure, with a special winey taste. Its density is about 0.81 g/cm³, which is slightly lighter than water, so it will float on the water surface like a light oil droplet in a liquid-liquid mixed system. n-Butanol has good fluidity and can flow smoothly in pipeline transportation and various reaction systems to ensure the continuity of the production process. In addition, n-Butanol has a certain volatility and can gradually evaporate in the air.
PRODUCT USES
N-Butanol plays an important role in the chemical industry and is widely used in many industries such as coatings, plastics, medicines, and fragrances. It is the basic raw material for the production of many downstream products, such as esters, plasticizers, medicines, spray paints, and as a solvent. In the production of coatings, n-butanol can evenly dissolve various resins to form a uniform and stable coating system, ensuring that the coating has good fluidity and coating performance during the construction process. In addition, n-butanol is also used to make surfactants and extractants for biochemical drugs.
